Precautions for using the dissolved oxygen meter.
Sample Collection:
1. Refer to relevant standards or documents to clarify measurement parameters, reference temperature, and compensation methods.
2. Select the electrode.
Measurement operation process:
1. The dissolved oxygen electrode contains a temperature sensor. When measuring, make sure the temperature sensor is immersed in the solution.
2. If accurate measurement is required, please calibrate and measure at the same temperature and pressure.
Calibration:
Calibration can be performed with full oxygen, or with full oxygen and zero point calibration.
Zero point calibration: Immerse the electrode in oxygen-free water and adjust the indicated value to zero point.
Full oxygen calibration: Immerse the electrode in saturated dissolved oxygen water and stir with a magnetic stirrer, or place the electrode in water-saturated air, and calibrate after the displayed value is stable.
Saturated dissolved oxygen water: Under specified temperature conditions, pass air into the distilled water at a flow rate of 1L/min to saturate the dissolved oxygen, and let it stand for some time to stabilize the dissolved oxygen (usually, 200ml of water takes 5-10min, 500ml water takes 10-20min.)
Water-saturated air: Add about 10 ml of distilled water to a clean 250 ml narrow-mouth bottle, cap the bottle, shake quickly for 30 seconds, and then equilibrate at room temperature for 30 minutes to stabilize the dissolved oxygen.
Under equilibrium conditions, the partial pressure of oxygen in water saturated with air is equal to the partial pressure of oxygen in air saturated with water. Therefore, the calibration of the electrode in water is the same as that in air.



Maintenance of laboratory and portable dissolved oxygen meters.
1. Disconnect the dissolved oxygen electrode from the dissolved oxygen meter. The instrument should display dissolved oxygen 0mg/L, current 0nA, and saturation 0.0%.
2. Check or calibrate the electrode regularly to ensure that the electrode is working properly.
3. If the instrument will not be used for a long time, please disconnect the power supply and cover the dust cover.
